Landmark Aviation acquires Executive Aircraft LTD. at Vancouver International Airport
Acquisition Produces Vancouver's Largest Business & Corporate Aviation FBO ‘Footprint’
NBAA, Orlando, — Landmark Aviation today announced the acquisition of Executive Aircraft Ltd. at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), British Columbia, Canada. With its existing full-service FBO at the airport, Landmark Aviation now offers aircraft operators 190,000 square feet of hangar, office and terminal space, in addition to around-the-clock services.“Landmark Aviation continues on a growth path to better serve our customers and provide additional service and storage,” said Shawn Vick, President, Landmark Aviation. “This acquisition significantly expands our operation at Vancouver — an airport where hangar space is at a premium and aircraft operators are actively seeking storage. Landmark now offers aircraft operators in the Northwest U.S. and Canada the largest ramp apron and the largest leased property on the field.”
Executive Aircraft Ltd., located next to the existing Landmark Aviation FBO, has more than 80,000 square feet of hangar, office and “VIP terminal space,” Vick said. The hangar can accommodate aircraft up to an including the Bombardier Challenger.
A ramp expansion to adjoin the properties is planned.
Landmark's current FBO has 110,000 square feet of hangar, office and terminal space. The hangar can accommodate aircraft including the Gulfstream IV. The facility offers a full range of services, including fuel, ground handling, catering, oxygen, and ramp parking for corporate and transport size aircraft up to and including the Boeing 757. The operation is also a Customs CANPASS location for international travel.
Vancouver International Airport is a gateway for visitors to the city, which ranks second only to Hollywood, Calif., in terms of the number of movies filmed there each year.
The purchase and sale agreements were finalized by Landmark Aviation and the owner of Executive Aircraft Ltd., and a lease agreement has been finalized with the Vancouver Airport Authority. Terms of the agreement between Landmark Aviation and Executive Aircraft Ltd. were not disclosed.
Earlier this year Landmark Aviation acquired premier FBO facilities at Westchester, N.Y. (HPN) and Scottsdale, Ariz. (SDL), bringing its total FBO network to 34 locations. The company renovated and made improvements to several Landmark Aviation operations during 2006, including a renovation and ramp expansion at the company's Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) FBO and a hangar expansion at Toronto. In addition, Landmark's Dulles, Va., (IAD) facility, and was renovated and the Charlottesville, Va. (CHO); Roanoke, Va. (ROA); and Raleigh, N.C. (RDU), facilities have been enlarged with additional hangars.
