Landmark Aviation to acquire Skyport FBO at Westchester county airport in New York
Acquisition Grows Landmark's North American FBO Network to 43 Sites
NBAA, ORLANDO, — Landmark Aviation today announced that it has reached an agreement with Jet Equity, LLC to acquire Skyport Flight Services - a business aviation FBO at the Westchester County Airport (HPN) in New York."This is a strategic acquisition for Landmark Aviation that expands our service and FBO ‘footprint’ throughout the entire New York City region," said Roger Wolfe, Chief Executive Officer. "Landmark Aviation is a full service provider for aircraft owners and operators offering a wide range of services. In addition to the FBO services at Westchester, the new location will serve the market as a base for a Landmark Mobile Service Team of technicians that will travel to aircraft in the area and provide 24 hour a day on-site service."
Skyport has been a presence at the Westchester County Airport for 50 years and is located adjacent to and to the north side of the airline terminal. Skyport provides fuel, handling, storage, and limited maintenance services to corporate tenants and transient aircraft. Skyport also provides into-plane fuel service for a number of commercial airlines at Westchester airport. Landmark plans a renovation of the facility to improve ramp security and customer access.
"The acquisition of Skyport is part of a plan to expand Landmark's FBO network at tier-one markets nationwide", said Wolfe.
Landmark expects to close the transaction by 2005 year-end. Terms of the contract between Landmark Aviation and Jet Equity were not disclosed.
