Shawn Vick — President & CEO

Shawn Vick, a 20-year veteran in the aerospace industry, is President and CEO of Landmark Aviation Airport Services. Vick is responsible for leading the market strategy, business development and execution for the company’s 33 full-service FBO facilities in North America, aircraft sales, charter and maintenance, and MRO operations associated with the FBO sites.

Previously Vick was Landmark’s President, and prior to that he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During his career in the aerospace industry, he has held executive leadership positions for leading manufacturers in both the business and commercial aircraft industries. He served as Senior Vice President of International Sales for Bombardier Aerospace, where his responsibilities encompassed leadership roles for international aircraft sales, pre-owned aircraft sales and interior completion sales.

Vick also held several leadership positions at Gulfstream Aerospace, as Senior Vice President for North American Sales, Vice President of Sales Operations and Vice President of Pre-Owned Aircraft. Earlier in his career, Vick held positions in business and commercial aircraft sales and marketing at British Aerospace and PageAvjet Corporation.

Vick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and completed the Oxford Air Transport Course programs at Oxford College, England.

Jim Hopkins — Vice President, FBO Operations

Jim Hopkins is Vice President, FBO Operations for Landmark Aviation, where his responsibilities include oversight of the Landmark fixed base operation (FBO) network of 33 locations, including 30 sites in the US and three in Canada.

Hopkins previously had responsibility for the FBO division’s sales and marketing as well as its fractional and airline relationships. He also had responsibility for five FBOs in the mid-Atlantic region and led the FBO team in the integration of MRO/FBO opportunities.

Hopkins has 21 years of financial and operations experience in almost every aspect of the business aviation industry, including FBOs, maintenance, aircraft charter and management, airline operations and MRO sales. In his various roles, he has had full profit and loss responsibility for the various locations and divisions he has overseen.

After Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation merged with Garrett Aviation Services in 2004, Hopkins led the Large Fleet and Government Contracts MRO division, where he was responsible for the company's largest customers such as fractional, airlines and large fleet operators.

A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Hopkins majored in management and marketing. He is a commercial pilot and has over 3,500 hours of flight time.

Tom Mekis — Vice President, Aircraft Sales, Service & Charter

Tom Mekis is Vice President — Aircraft Sales, Service and Charter for Landmark Aviation.

Mekis began his career at Beech where he held various sales and marketing management positions during his nine years with the company. He then joined American Beechcraft as Sales Manager. American Beechcraft was ultimately merged into Piedmont Hawthorne in 1998, which merged with Garrett Aviation to form Landmark Aviation in late 2004. Mekis has held a variety of senior-level management positions, including General Manager of the Leesburg facility, with oversight of its FBO, MRO, Parts, and Aircraft Sales operations. He also served as Vice President with responsibility for the Aircraft Sales, Charter and Management divisions.

Mekis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. He is an active instrument-rated pilot with over 4,500 hours.

Mark Linville — Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Linville is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Landmark Aviation. Linville is responsible for all financial operations including general accounting, tax and treasury functions. Additionally he has responsibility for IT operations for all of Landmark.

Linville joined the company in early 2005 from LeCreuset of America, a global multi-channel kitchenware distributor, where he was head of Finance and Administration for their North American Operations. Prior to this position, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hanes Companies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leggett & Platt.

In addition to his extensive aviation and aerospace experience, Linville’s career has been split between both publicly held and private equity firms in varied industries. He has extensive knowledge of financial operations, mergers and acquisitions, treasury management, benefits administration and information technology management. He has managed relationships with private equity investors, banks, internal and external auditors and counsel.

Linville received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and finance from High Point University, and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
