Landmark Aviation Charter Division Receives DoD Passenger Operations Certification

Houston, TX — 03/22/2012

Landmark Aviation Aircraft Charter and Management Division recently announced that the Commercial Airlift Review Board (CARB) has certified the company for Department of Defense (DoD) passenger operations. With this distinction and prior certifications, Landmark Aviation is now eligible to bid on a variety of contracts for all U.S. government agencies.

"This designation is not only a testament to the quality of our operation, but will extend further opportunities to our aircraft owners by gaining the U.S. Government as a charter customer," General Manager of Charter Brad Bruce explained.

Landmark Aviation sought certification at the request of longtime customer MedCenter Air, a division of Carolinas Healthcare System. With the certification in place, MedCenter Air will be able to transport military personnel within the Carolinas, an area with a significant military presence, as well as throughout the United States. Landmark Aviation manages and operates four fixed wing aircraft for MedCenter Air.

“We believe that by combining our hospital-based medical expertise with Landmark’s experience in aviation, we will provide a superior level of service to the DoD,” Assistant Vice President of MedCenter Air Jason Schwebach noted. “We are confident that we will meet the DoD’s expectations and are thrilled with the opportunity to be of service to our country’s armed forces.”

Landmark Aviation will be able to offer all of its managed aircraft customers the ability to bid for DoD jobs nationwide, opening many opportunities to the company and its customers.
