Landmark Aviation Announces Major Donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego

Houston, TX — 05/03/2011

Landmark Aviation is pleased to announce it has made a $75,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego through its “Landmark Cares” corporate social responsibility initiative. This gift will support the newly built Ronald McDonald House in San Diego, which provides a “home away from home” for families with sick children being treated at local hospitals. Landmark has also agreed to commit a portion of future Landmark Cares funds generated in San Diego to this Ronald McDonald House.

Landmark Cares is designed to provide quantifiable support to local non-profits and charitable organizations. Landmark strives to ensure all of its stakeholders benefit as the company succeeds, including customers, airport partners, local communities and its shareholders. 2010 was a great year for Landmark, as customer service benchmarks reached new highs and the Company was able to invest significant capital to add new locations and upgrade existing facilities. San Diego is one of several FBOs that joined Landmark Cares in 2010, with several more scheduled to come online in 2011.

“The Ronald McDonald House of San Diego was an obvious choice for Landmark,” said Charlie Ferraro, Landmark’s local General Manager. “We share a common mission to support families in our local communities across a national footprint.”

“We are thrilled to have Landmark as a partner,” said Sharon Smith, Vice President of Development at Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. “It’s incredibly satisfying to see planes landing at Lindbergh Field and know that our constituents directly benefit from activity at the airport.”

“Our local management team deserves credit for creating the business success that enabled this donation,” said Dan Bucaro, President and CEO of Landmark. “At current activity levels, Landmark Cares locations will donate over $2 million to local charities and non-profits in Landmark communities over the next five years.”
